Good morning all! Busy day yesterday at the cafeteria. I worked 10 hours cashing and helping bus tables. We have a very regular schedule on days with especially good weather. Since Old Faithful erupts every 90 minutes that means every 90 minutes we have to hurry and bus tables, replenish the food lines, cold beverages, chips, fresh fruit, coffee, etc. to get ready for the next wave of visitors. This picture below was taken from Observation Point, a short hike at the Old Faithful location. Old Faithful is centered around the oval deck seen in the middle of the picture. The building just to the right of the left tall pine tree in the picture is Old Faithful Lodge, my place of employment.

Larkspur Dormitory (my summer home)

Look at this! Two nights ago I was given something special for dinner. Joe, one of my managers (I have three) went fishing at an area lake. He came back with five nice looking Lake Trout. He cleaned them and put them on ice. Then after my shift he had our head chef prepare me one of them for my dinner. Yummy!

Today I'm scheduled to work as a C1 (Cashier 1st Shift 10:30am - 5:00pm). So, time for breakfast and a little house-cleaning beforehand. Oh by the way, I'm counting down the days for LaRayne to join me here in Y. She arrives at the airport in Bozeman, MT on Monday. I had two co-workers trade me days off so I can travel to Bozeman, then we drive to Gardiner, MT where LaRayne will report to Zantera Resorts (company who runs Yellowstone) on Tues. to begin her check-in and orientation. Then she too will be a co-worker, her first summer job in over 35 years. How exciting, I bet she can't wait!
